Nigerian-born Evangelist, Pastor Victor Ajisafe has been arrested by the Sierra Leone Police force is currently been questioned for allegedly using hate speech. His arrest comes after the famous preacher, founder and President of the Sanctuary Praise Church had blasted prominent Islamic scholar and Grand Mufti of Zimbabwe, Mufti Ismail Menk over alleged claims that Sierra Leone is an Islamic state. Ajisafe described Mufti as “a liar and an angel of Darkness who have come to deceive Sierra Leoneans”. He further added that Islam as a “religion of terrorism”. A pastor in Sierra Leone has unearthed a 706-carat diamond, according to the government, in one of the largest precious stone finds ever made worldwide. The discovery was made by Pastor Emmanuel Momoh in an artisanal mine in the village of Koyadu in eastern Kono district, a government statement said on Thursday. "A 706-carat diamond was presented to President Dr Ernest Bai Koroma yesterday evening," the statement said. "Receiving the diamond President Koroma thanked the chief and his people for not smuggling the diamond out of the country," it added, referring to the Tankoro chiefdom where Momoh uncovered the gem. The diamond will be sold in Sierra Leone with a "transparent" bidding process to the benefit of the community and country, the statement said. Sheikh Hussaini Yusuf Mabera, a front-line Islamic lecturer, debater, author and conference speaker has threatened to take renowned Nigerian Pastor T.B. Joshua to court. HOW ME AND MY SUPERVISOR WENT INTO AN INTELLECTUAL COMBAT I had a supervisor for teaching practice yesterday while l presented a topic "Adhan and lqamah" The presentation was superb to the other extent that my supervisor laughed out his sorrow. Concluding this, he asked me a question concerning the condition of who can call the ADHAN, thus asking me " if females are not allowed to call to prayer and there is a reward for it, are they not deprived of their right as a muslimah? " I quickly realised he was a christain, the question was somehow funny and I replied him with a tone that puts him into permanent state of shut-up. I replied, "the females are not by any means deprived of their right and as a matter of fact,the females are blessed with a sweet and beautiful sound more than some males,and allowing them to call the adhan can cause many problems. In the ongoing programme that kicked off 10.00pm on friday 24th February 2017, organized by Academy for Islamic propagation (ACADIP), in offa kwara state, a total number of 15 christians converted to islam. After a lecture delivered by the chief lecturer Alhaji Yusuf Adepoju & a debate in which he engaged in with a pastor and other Christians, a total of 15 Christians reverted to islam. The Academy has successfully converted 316 non-believers to islam in the last 6 months in various states in Nigeria.
