How To Diagnos Your Laptop Power/Battery Before Taking It To Engineer

Due to the increasing number of clients experiencing the problem of their laptop not charging and similar problems. I have decided to explain what you should do whenever you experience such. This will help you make the best decision and not pay money to self-aclaimed engineers for doing nothing. Do not rush to take your laptop to any engineer except a trusted and honest one. This is because if they check and discover your charger or battery is faulty, they won't tell you but rather tell you something else that would make you cough our money for a nonexistent fault in addition to buying the battery or charger.

First try charging the battery for a good time like over an hour. While charging, observe if the charging light is on. Also observe what the battery notification says when you run the system into windows. After checking , come back and see my verdict.




Plugged in and charging ( battery percentage increasing)>>>battery and system are OK.

plugged in charging ( battery percentage not increasing) >>> first try another charger to ensure your charger is not the culprit. Also try another battery to be sure your battery is OK. If after you try these and still not charging, your board is the culprit. If you are opportuned, try more than one charger and battery.

Plugged in and not charging>>>>Also try another charger and battery ( try more than one charger and battery). If after trying and your system refuse to charge either your battery or another battery, then your mother board needs to be checked.
